EXHIBITION
EARTH REMEMBERED

Michihisa Iida is a young ceramic artist, whose philosophy towards work is largely based on the mystical power that he believes human hands possess.

By touching and feeling the clay, hands learn and interpret the nature of the earth. Then, the special forms and shapes are born. Michihisa Iida believes that his pottery creations are the gifts from the fire that bakes life into the clay. He hopes that his art will let others experience the same feeling of incredible memory capabilities of human hands, that he, himself, experience, when creating the pieces. Enjoy the beautiful nature of clay, and the warmth it presents to you.
